About Us
Mountain Lake Bible Camp, which was founded in 1947 by
the non-profit Christian Youth Fellowship, Inc., has often been called “the Lord’s slice of heaven nestled in the quiet northwest corner of Connecticut.”
But more than just a picturesque hidden gem, Mountain Lake Bible Camp is the place where thousands of youth have transformed their lives by accepting the Lord as their personal Savior during their time at summer camp. For more than six decades, youths have been making memories and friends as part of the Mountain Lake Bible Camp Summer Experience.
Today, churches from throughout the tri-state region are looking to Mountain Lake Bible Camp to host their retreats, youth group exursions, and other events during all four seasons of the year.
Under the guidance of founder Alfred Thyberg, visitors to Mountain Lake Bible Camp enjoy swimming, boating, fishing on the 15-acre main lake as well as soccer, volleyball, softball, tennis, badminton, basketball, and much more. Visitors also enjoy hiking on challenging trails, exploring caves and rock formations, and viewing the majestic waterfalls on the 400 acres that formerly were the estate of John Barrymore's stepson.
Winter activities, including skating, sledding, and skiing abound.
We look forward to hosting your church youth group. Call us for more information.
